Function Emma Frost using CerebraĬerebro/Cerebra's has the ability to magnified a telepaths abilities to extreme levels.
In recent years, the depiction of Cerebro/Cerebra in the X-Men comics has undergone a change to reflect the appearance of Cerebro in the popular X-Men films. This version of Cerebro was eventually neutralized and destroyed by the X-Men. This was done so that the human- Sentinel hybrid had a means of better hunting down and killing mutants. Some of them, most notably Scott "Cyclops" Summers, Jean Grey, and Emma Frost, have relied on the device in their roles as X-Men almost as much as Xavier has himself.Īt one point the X-Men villain Bastion stole Cerebro from the X-Mansion and merged with it, thus creating a self-aware version. As years past, Cerebro has since then been replaced by its "sister" version called Cerebra and has over the years been used to find or locate many mutants, including some of the best known X-Men.
Cerebro soon grew and required a special room in the X-Mansion. Cerebro started as a simple control pannel built into Professor X's desk. He built a makeshift device called Cyberno and it helped him to locate Scott. X-Force is just one of several new or relaunched Marvel mutant titles you'll need to keep track of on our list of all new X-Men comics, graphic novels, collections arriving in 20.Cerebro (from the Portuguese and Spanish word for brain) has also been known as "The Founder", "Cerebro Prime", "Cyberno", and is currently known as "Cerebra." It was first created when Professor X needed some way to find Scott Summers.
CEREBRO MARVEL FULL
Stay tuned for more information on the 'Destiny of X' X-Men relaunch as it is released, and keep watch on Newsarama for Marvel's full March 2022 solicitations coming later this month. Whatever the deal is with Cerebrax, it seems to ramp up the already violent, unsavory missions that X-Force undertakes on behalf of Krakoa, stating that their "mission is about to get even deadlier." It's unclear how or if the original Cerebrax will connect to the new X-Force story as that character has no connection to the X-Men, and hasn't previously made the jump to the mainstream Marvel Universe.
CEREBRO MARVEL ANDROID
Weirdly enough, Cerebrax is not a new name for Marvel Comics, as the name was previously used for an android character in the alt-universe '80s Squadron Supreme title.
X-Force #1 (Image credit: Marvel Comics) (opens in new tab) Semi-hidden text on the teaser seems to back up the connection between the creature shown in the art and Cerebro, listing the name "Cerebrax" with the caption "Status Online." The imagery shows core X-Force members Wolverine, Kid Omega, Beast, Sage, and Forge all seemingly hooked into some kind of sentient Cerebro-looking device. The teaser text reads "Beneath the sunny surface of Krakoa… Hide secrets… and monsters," along with art by Gill that has some dire implications.
Marvel's X-Force teaser seems to indicate a slightly new mission for the team, along with some apparent complications to their place on Krakoa. It's unclear if X-Force will relaunch with a new #1 in April, or if the title's new status quo will continue the current numbering. Writer Ben Percy will stick around for the new X-Force, joined by artist Robert Gill.
